New digs.
I'm moving into a new townhouse in August and can't be more excited! I am redecorating and finding my inspirations via internet. I want a modern feel where I can incorporate old pieces from my previous interior flavors (shabby chic ring a bell). I'm trying to decide on a color combo and I'm thinking gray/plum mixed with tans, whites and a pop of animal something. I will be making quite a bit of furniture so get ready for the DIY instructions!
Color schemes for the new place below...
I like the violet hues because they mix well with gold. silver and shades of caramel and brown.

Obsession. Miguelina.
Obsessed with everything from this line. The lace tunic and shorts top it off. A must in my wardrobe. Like yesterday.
Outside a coffee shop.
Someone saw this sign outside a coffee shop and I am so thankful they put it on Pinterest. I have been laughing all morning over it.

Rawrrrr.
I can't even handle how cute this is... There are no words. I need this dog. I would name him King Kong. He would go by Kong.

4th of July cocktails.
1. Fourth of July Cocktail
A thin slice of jalapeno or serrano pepper adds a fiery kick to this tequila-based cocktail, which gets it's pretty colors from cranberry juice, watermelon schnapps, and blue curacao.
Strawberry schnapps, vodka, and club soda make up this sweet & fizzy afternoon drink. Add a skewer of blueberries for a splash of blue!
Ingredients
• 4 cups seedless watermelon chunks (about 1 pound)
• 1 1/2 cups lemonade
• 1/2 cup fresh mint
• blackberries for garnish (optional)
Directions
In a blender, puree the watermelon and lemonade; strain if desired.
Stir in the mint and serve over ice.
For an instant cocktail: Stir in 1/2 cup vodka or tequila before serving.
Garnish with a blackberries.
This pretty drink gets it's striped look from a layer of blue HPNOTIQ Liqueur topped with a red layer made from strawberry puree, dark rum, coconut milk, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and crushed ice.
Blue liqueur and grenadine give this citrus vodka-based martini it's patriotic flair. Garnished coconut adds a touch of white!
